Conferences and
other activities The 2nd Rewritten Bible -conference was held at House Providentia in Koblenz, in Germany, hosted by the University of Koblenz-Landau, in August 2007, with participants representing five European countries and Israel. The 1st Rewritten Bible -conference was held at Karkku Evangelical Folk High School in Karkku, Finland, hosted by Åbo Akademi University, in August 2006, with participants representing five different European countries. Maimonides -symposium 19.-21.5.2006, Loimaa evangelical folk high school. The symposium focussed on the work More Nevukhim (Guide of the Perplexed) by Maimonides. The main lecturer was Professor Yossef Schwartz (below left) from Tel Aviv University. Exhibition "Levande judendom" (Living Judaism) has been on view in the Main Library of Åbo Akademi University between May the 30th and October the 31st 2005. Workshop "Children of Abraham" - Peaceful encounters and polemical confrontations between Judaism, Christianity and Islam gathered at the Linnasmäki Congress Centre under the auspices of Åbo Akademi University on September the 29th - October the 2nd, 2005 Hans-Georg von Mutius and Torleif Elgvin Jaakko Hämeen-Anttila, Hannu Töyrylä, Stefan Schreiner Discussions after Svante Lundgren's paper.
