Pekka Santtila
One of the senior researchers in the project is Dr. Pekka Santtila. He is currently
Professor of Applied Psychology at the Department of Psychology, Åbo Akademi
University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Forensic and Investigative Psychology at
the University of Turku. Dr Santtila has collaborated with Professor Sandnabba on his
research projects concerning psychology of sexuality involving topics such as sexual
deviance, child sexual behavior and its moderators, and effects of child sexual abuse. In
addition, he has been financed by the Finnish Ministry of Interior to conduct research on
antisocial behavior including sexual aggression.
Within the project, he will concentrate on genetic and environmental effects on
aggression including sexual aggression and the determinants of variation of human sexual
behavior.
