The growth of a new generation of researchers
is ensured by the Graduate School at Åbo
Akademi University. Within the Graduate
School, there are 12 positions for doctoral stu -
dents funded by the Åbo Akademi University
Endowment, and every second year, another
30–40 doctoral candidates, funded by Åbo
Akademi University, are admitted. These
postgraduate student positions are distributed
through doctoral networks over a variety of
fields, ranging from art history to material
studies and human rights. In addition, there
are several researchers whose work is financed
through different sources of funding.
