Home Insurance
Regardless of where you live, home insurance
is recommended. In case of any damage to the
apartment caused by carelessness or, for example,
home appliances (e.g. water damage), the tenant
must compensate the owner of the apartment for
the repair costs. If the tenant has home insurance,
the costs will usually be paid by the insurance
company. Additionally, home insurance will
cover the belongings of the tenant. In case of e.g.
burglary, the home insurance will cover for any
possessions stolen (excess required).
