Rudolf Hess took a flight to England and the plans to attack the Soviet Union was in the final stages. Finland was also a month away from another war against the eastern neighbour. A bunch of clubs gathered on the 23rd in Helsinki and founded the National Federation for team handball in Finland.

Suomessa vietettiin viimeistä kuukautta ennen jatkosotaa. Ryhmä seuroja kokoontui 23.5 Helsinkiin ja perusti Suomen Käsipalloliiton.
