Wegematic 1000
- Wenner-Grens company Logistics Research in California was building computers named Alwac (Axel Leonard Wenner-Gren Automatic Computer). Wegematic 1000 was produced by Bo Nyman AB in Bollmora, Sweden was similar to Alwac III E.
- Wegematic had drum memory with 261 channels (tracks), about 10 000 diodes and about 500 electron tubes on laminate circuit bords.
- The prime memory was 4 tracks on the drum, the work channels, which had multiple read/write heads. In all the prime memory was 4 x 32 words = 128 words à 32 bits. The registers A, B, D, and E also resided on the drum. A and B could be combined to form a single register of double word length.
