4th International Small Island Cultures Conference

Nätverket av ö-forskare "Small Island Cultures Research Initiative" (SICRI) som koordineras från Australien ordnar sin 4. konferens "4th International Conference on Small Island Cultures" den 16-19.6 i Nagu (Framnäs) och Korpoström (endast 18.6). Som lokal medarrangör fungerar Skärgårdsinstitutet vid Åbo Akademi, och med i planeringen (samt som föreläsare) finns även forskare från Åbo Akademi och Åbo universitet. Föreläsarna kommer från bl.a. Japan Nya Zealand, Australien, Indien, Tyskland, England, Wales, Skottland, Canada, och Sverige.

Föreläsningarna är öppna för allmänheten (hela konferensen på engelska)

Kostnader
: 120 e/person för hela konferensen eller 40 e/ dag. (Se i kolumnen brevid angående betalningen!). I priset ingår många intressanta föreläsningar, lunch och för- och eftermiddagskaffe.
Välkomsttillställning, måndag 16.6. kl 21 på Framnäs, 15 e/person.
Torsdag 19.6 kl 20-23 ordnas båtutflykt till Själö, 35 e/person.

The network of Island researcher "Small Island Cultures Research Initiative" (SICRI) which is coordinated from Australia is now arranging their 4th conference "4th International Conference on Small Isand Cultures", 16th - 19th June 2008 in Nagu (Framnäs) and Korpoström (only 18th.6). Skärgårdsinstitutet (Arcipelago Institute) vid Åbo Akademi University is a local cooperator. Researchers from Åbo Akademi University and Turku University are also engaged in the planning work. There are speakers from Japan, New Zealand, Australia, India, Germany, England, Wales, Scottland, Canada and Sweden.

The conference is open for the public.

The registration fee is 120 Euros or 40 Euros/day. (Look in column  beside about paymant!) The price includes lunches and coffee/refreshments.
Welcoming coctail in Nagu Framnäs, Monday 16th at 9 pm, 15 e/person.
Boat trip to Själö Island, Thursday 19th at 8-11 pm, 35 e/person.
Registration in advance is required
