Doctoral hat
Each person will have to order his/her own hat. This will require a personal visit to the hat maker, where the shape and the size of the candidate's head will be carefully measured (for more information, see: head measurements). This is necessary, because the hat is made from material that, once formed, cannot be reshaped
Please note, that several universities will organize conferralceremonys next year. Thus, it's important that you order your doctoral hat well in advance before the ceremony (that is, in January, at the latest).

Ordering a doctoral hat
