Muse (MUsic SEarch)

Muse provides 480,000 citations from RILM Abstracts of Music Literature and the RILM thesaurus, the Music Catalog and records from the U.S. Library of Congress (LC). It is the world's largest, continuously updated bibliography of music literature. It provides worldwide coverage of reference and research materials, sound recordings, composers, history, theory, reviews and analyses, performance, instruments, voice and liturgy, acoustics, psychology, ethno-musicology and related disciplines.

How to use the Muse databases

The discs are located on a CD-ROM server situated at the Computing Centre. They are available from PC:s connected to the network at Åbo Akademi University. The NISC DISCover search program is for Windows XP/2000/NT/95/98 and in English.
