Seminar in honor of Professor Göran Högnäs

Professor Göran Högnäs will retire from his position as professor in applied mathematics on September 1st, 2013. Göran was the chairman for the board of the FDPSS (and its earlier counterparts) from the beginning of the programme in 1998 until 2009.

A one-day mathematical seminar will be organized to honor Göran, where his co-workers and former and present students will give lectures. Mats Gyllenberg (HU), Timo Koski (KTH) and Marie-Claire Koissi (Western Illinois University) have confirmed their participation. The day will end with a dinner at Hus Lindman.

There is a conference fee (20 euros) which covers coffee during the breaks and the evening dinner.

All interested are warmly welcome. FDPSS supports the participation of the doctoral students by covering the conference fee and the travel expenses (inside Finland).
