How to get to Turku/Åbo

There is a small airport in Turku. From the airport it is a 20-minute taxi ride to the town centre, which costs approximately 20 euros. Alternatively, bus number 1 departs every 20 minutes for the town centre (route: Airport - Bus station - Town centre - Harbour); single adult fare 2.50 euros.
There are more connections to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Long distance buses to Turku bus station (we recommend this option) depart from the airport about once per hour (duration of journey 2-3 hours, return ticket about 50 euros; in some of the connections there is a transfer at Ikea junction); bus timetables can be found here. Alternatively, bus number 615 (3.60 EUR single adult fare) and Finnair City Bus (5.90 EUR single adult fare) connect the airport to the city centre (about 35 minutes); a taxi ride from the airport to the city centre costs approximately 30 euros and takes about half an hour. Buses stop at Helsinki main railway station. Trains to Turku depart about hourly, timetables can be found here (click VR Journey Search on the left on the page opening from the link).
