Stochastic Analysis and its Applications
Stochastic Analysis and its Applications
is a network in mathematics funded by the Nordic
Academy of Advanced Study (NorFA). The aim is to coordinate and
increase the efficiency of Nordic research training within this academic
area. The project is supported over five years, 1998-2002, and the activities
will include
-
Research workshops,
-
Research symposia,
-
Mobility scholarships,
in which research training will be a major
part.
For the year 2002 the following activities
are planned:
Some funds for travelling and accommodation
are available for participants.
The following scholarships will be available:
-
2 mobility scholarships (with family supplement)
for research students (3 months each) to visit universities and research
institutions in another Nordic country or, alternatively,
1 scholarship for 6 months
-
Nordic participation in
"2nd MaPhySto Conference on Lévy Processes - Theory and Applications", University of Aarhus, 21 - 25 January, 2002
-
Nordic participation in
"Gene genealogies: inference in molecular population genetics", Postgraduate course at the Evolutionary Biology Centre, Uppsala, 18 - 24 March, 2002
-
Nordic participation in workshop/advanced course on
"Complexity and Probability", Gothenburg, 15 - 19 April, 2002
-
Nordic participation in advanced concentrated course on
"Long Range Dependence, Heavy Tails and Rare Events - with Applications to Finance and Telecommunications", University of Copenhagen, 6 - 10 May, 2002
-
Nordic participation in
"Miniworkshop on Stochastic Analysis and Finance", University of Jyväskylä, 27 - 28 May, 2002
-
Nordic participation in
"19th Nordic Conference on Mathematical Statistics, NORDSTAT", Stockholm University, 9 - 13 June, 2002
