Detailed studies in the inner Åland archipelago have been performed in the project “Basic studies for effective water protection measures on Åland”. In 2004-2005 water flows, water quality, periphyton growth, and internal nutrient loading from sediment have been studied in the Föglöfjärden area. The results of the studies will be used in the Bevis-project as a baseline data for modelling and for testing the two different numerical models against each other.
