Current research
My research is focused on contemporary religious/cultural practices, as well as on questions of identity, agency, gender and embodiment. I am interested in how contemporary people in post-secular Finnish society use religion and religious/spiritual (embodied) practices and artifacts in the construction of their everyday life and agency. I approach religion both from constructivist and pragmatist perspectives combining ethnographic and textual techniques as well as sociological and anthropological perspectives.
