For those who use the word template - ask the prepress unit at the printing house to make you a cover, using the Indesign template. By this we ensure that all the covers look the same.

Some details to consider if you do the layout with the Word program

You should use a professional program like Indesign for the layouting. We know that this is not always possible and therefore we have a Word documenttemplate at your disposal.
There may be some formatting problems that differ from the original document template depending on which version of Word you are using. You should therefore always check the downloaded template and correct it according to our recommendations (see the pdf file about "instructions")
before you start your work with the layouting. Notet that our recommendations are still only recommendations. Sometimes you just have to make some small arrengements of your own - thats understandable.
You should also avoid to work with the document using different versions of Word during the process. This is to do with the risk of formatting problems.
The zip file (the inlay for Word B5) consists of two documenttemplate files, word 1997-2003 and word 2016.
When you are finnished with the work, remember to make a pdf document of it. Its in that form the Printing house want yor work to be received.

General information

Choice of paper for the cover: Invercoat Creato 260 gr. or Ensocoat 250 gr. or Gallerie Art silk 300 gr. No extra lacquering is needed.
Observe that the cover is always printed in colour (cmyk). The inlay is alway printed in one colour, usually in black. On special occasions you can print the inlay in colour (cmyk), because of complicated graphs etc. We have to think about the costs of the printwork!
Note that the document templates are in the Indesign CS 5.0. Each compressed zip file includes also an IDML that gives you the opportunity to work with Indesign CS 4.5.
If you dont have the fonts you need - dont worry. The zip folder includes all you need, fonts included. It is also correct to use the substitut fonts Gil Sans and Palatino.
